Service learning provides you with unique opportunities to get involved in causes and organizations that you believe make a difference.<\/p>\n
By applying and testing classroom learning, students say they gain a deeper understanding of their coursework. The service experience opens new windows of awareness and self-confidence, and it often helps confirm or inspire new academic and career choices.<\/p>\n
All Undergraduate students are required to take SL 100 Serving the World, a one-credit course, prior to graduation. Most students enroll in this course in their sophomore year. This service-learning course includes 20 hours of community service at your choice of Rivier partner agencies. SL 100 includes readings, class discussions, off-campus service projects, journaling, and a final portfolio project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
