小猪视频 to Recognize Entrepreneurs Jeremy and Elizabeth Hitchcock at Commencement on May 12

Focusing on the future of STEM education, 小猪视频 will honor two exceptional New Hampshire business and social entrepreneurs, Jeremy and Elizabeth Hitchcock.

Best known for their contributions to science and technological innovation, the Hitchcocks鈥 business development efforts play a key role in advancing New Hampshire鈥檚 economy.

鈥淚n presenting Jeremy and Elizabeth Hitchcock with honorary degrees at our 83rd Commencement, we recognize the importance of science and technology as a foundation not only for today鈥檚 careers, but also for active and engaged citizens,鈥 says Sister Paula Marie Buley, IHM, Rivier鈥檚 President.

Advancing its own efforts in STEM education, 小猪视频 is moving forward with plans to construct a new, high-technology Science Center. The 30,000-square-foot facility will replace the current science building and provide leading-edge resources to faculty and students in the areas of biology, biotechnology, chemistry, physics, and nursing. The center will complement resources for students majoring in computer science and cybersecurity management.

The Hitchcocks live and work in New Hampshire, and both are graduates of Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Raised in Bedford, New Hampshire, Mr. Hitchcock is the founder of two internet companies: Dyn, a major internet performance management company, and Minim, which provides management and security solutions for increasingly complex home networks. He serves on the Board of Trustees for his alma mater, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and for the Community College System of New Hampshire. Mr. Hitchcock was a finalist in the Ernst & Young New England Entrepreneur of the Year New England program in 2012.

Mrs. Hitchcock holds executive positions at Hitchcock Management and at the Millworks Fund, an investment fund supporting New Hampshire鈥檚 startup community.聽She is also a co-managing member of 10x Venture Partners鈥擭ew Hampshire鈥檚 largest and most active angel investor group. She serves on several boards including St. Mary鈥檚 Bank and the Currier Museum of Art, and on the steering committee for Leadership Greater Manchester. In recognition of her many achievements, Mrs. Hitchcock was named to the 2017 New Hampshire Union Leader鈥檚 鈥40 Under Forty鈥 list.

Committed to community, the Hitchcocks have created the Hitchcock Family Foundation, which provides financial support to a range of organizations including several children鈥檚 charities. This month, the Hitchcocks will open Bookery Manchester, an independent bookstore and gathering place that encourages the exchange of ideas through literature and community events.

Rivier鈥檚 Commencement ceremony will take place at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts on Saturday, May 12 at 10 a.m.
