Our Public Safety Officers are trained in first aid, CPR, and AED (Automatic External Defibrillation) and routinely respond to medical emergencies. Our vehicles are equipped with a comprehensive First Aid kit, as are campus buildings. All medical emergencies occurring on campus should be reported by dialing 911 and the Department of Public Safety and Security at (603) 888-1666.

It happens, students get locked out of rooms and staff and faculty get locked out of offices. We can help!

All new students are required to obtain a valid University identification card prior to the start of classes. ID cards are issued by the Department of Public Safety and Security once a student is officially registered.

Lost or stolen ID cards must be reported to the Department of Public Safety immediately. Replacement cards will be issued as necessary, and a replacement fee may apply.

You would be surprised at the number of items that can’t be returned to the rightful owner because they weren’t labeled with vital information (serial numbers, model, etc.). Don’t let this happen to you! Operation Identification is a campus crime prevention program open to students, staff, and faculty. The goal is to identify your property by engraving items and tracking important information such as serial and model numbers.

To report a lost item or to turn in found property, please contact the Department of Public Safety at 603-888-1666.

To be considered an authorized driver, new drivers shall complete a driver safety course*. Prior to becoming an authorized driver, you must give written permission to the Director of Public Safety to obtain your motor vehicle driving record and meet the following guidelines:

A copy of your driver’s license will be kept on file with the Director of Public Safety. Authorization of all drivers, including checking the motor vehicle record of all previously authorized drivers, will be done at the beginning of each academic year, not later than September 30; authorization of new drivers will be done throughout the year as needed. It is the responsibility of each authorized driver to notify the Director of Public Safety of any changes in her/his Motor Vehicle Driving Record between the annual checks and to relinquish driving privileges, if necessary until the standard is again met.

In order to check the driving record of all 小猪视频 van drivers, an annual fee per driver may be charged to an appropriate department, club, or organization.

*Driver Safety Course: To become an authorized driver of the 小猪视频 passenger vans, you are required to satisfactorily complete the course requirements. The program is provided by a trained member of the Department of Public Safety and Security. There is no cost; the course is three hours in length and will be offered once a month.

The Department of Athletics has priority in reserving Rivier fleet vans prior to September 1 of each academic year. After September 1, reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. The process begins by submitting the Van Request form.

We can assist with vehicle jump-starts and lockouts. In both instances, you must sign a waiver form, releasing the University from any responsibility of damage to the vehicle. These services are limited to students, faculty, staff, and guests.

Any student, faculty, or staff member needing an escort for any reason may request this service by contacting the Department’s main number.

The Department of Public Safety and Security offers certification courses in CPR/AED and STOP THE BLEED®.
